Well, it's a self serving response, but for just plain uniqueness, the 
nixieneon clock (http://nixieneon.com) is one choice. The tubes are not big, 
but it is different. I have two kits left from the last buy of parts :).  Or 
you can buy it (with a case if you like) from nuts and vols magazine's online 
store :)

i would like to build her as nixie clock from a kit.
i want something 'snazzy' that will be noticed.
maybe blue and bigger tubes if cost effective.
