Removing backslashes has fixed the problem. I have manged to compile and
installed net-snmp on my hp-ux.

Don't have GNU make installed on my hp-ux machine.
I have attached agent/Makefile.
I am getting the same error on HP-UX version B.11.00 and B.11.11 (9000/785)

I cannot compile net-snmp on hp-ux. Here what I did:
