You'll need to use a tool such as 'emacs' or 'vi' or something similar :-) Generate a template for the scalar objects and the table separately, and then merge the two files by hand. It's probably easier to start with the table file, and pull in the scalar handler routine, and add the scalar registration to the table's 'init' routine.
