My sub-agent is getting SIGPIPE and reporting:
AgentX master agent failed to respond to ping. Attempting to re-register.
Does that suggest that snmpd is too busy to respond and my sub-agent is OK?

Hello,
Ok I read the FAQ on UnLinked OID and even though
its a relevant definition I dont think
it relates to the problem I am seeing.
I am basically building a simple table, populate all
the object elements etc and then run mib2c.
It goes ahead and constructs the templates and

Hi,
a few months ago Joel Parker described a problem with 5.1.1 on
Linux. He was getting invalid traps with mteHotValue set to 0 and
without an ErrMessage. You may see the posting at

The other day I ran into the very same problem using
check the version of snmpd you are using, suse has a copy of v4.x.x
pre-installed(in /usr/sbin/) which may cause this problem, if you have
installed v5.x.x(in /usr/local/sbin/), try to use the full path to
start snmp daemon.
/usr/local/sbin/snmpd -c /etc/snmpd.conf
