I am having a problem with setting ip-forwarding with SNMP.
I can get the variable with:
snmpget -c SSQA 10.1.1.10 .1.3.6.1.2.1.4.1.0
IP-MIB::ipForwarding.0 = INTEGER: notForwarding(2)
When I try to set the object, I get this error:
snmpset -c 10.1.1.10 .1.3.6.1.2.1.4.1.0 i 1

My problem is which option, com2sec or rocommunity, is stronger?
Both exists in my snmpd.conf and I don't get the right answer from
my server when using "snmpget"
Can someone help me.

I am able to generate the desired binary package using the approach you
mentioned.
And pardon my impatience. It was not a force of habit but only of urgent
necessity.
