I’ve developped a SNMP sub agentX
That crashes on set request under RH7.3 and net-snmp
version 5.1.2
After the crash, it also disturbed snmpd, avoiding
reading correctly the ucd mib.
This problem is resolved by using net-snmp version 5.1.2.rc2,

'authenticationFailure' trap, even though 'snmpEnableAuthenTraps' is set
to 'disabled(2)'.

Off the top of my head, I can give you one critical point: The list net-SNMP
keeps for users is global. When a new user is added, it can replace an
existing user and other threads that have pointers to existing users are in
danger.
