Tom, Thanks for the quick reply. I just did a double check on the binaries and the source code. It is 5.3 and not 5.3.0.1. I have also run truss on the trap daemon and here are the results. The parent snmptrapd does not account for any time on the cpu but the one it forks runs up a lot o
