Some digging around got me here:
o I am using udp as transport and use agentx for master-slave subagent on Unix
domain socket /root/.snmp/agentx master (no dig for them)
o snmpUDPDomain.c in snmplib contains function netsnmp_udp_transport - which
creates the transport socket for response!

Is there any way to specify an interface (or IP address) that all responses
from the agent should go out with?
