Hi all,
I noticed that the documentation 'man snmpd' it is written
that the snmpd listens on UDP port 161 and all interfaces.
However, the debian package I installed does it ONLY for
127.0.0.1:161.
Has this been changed once in the net-snmp distribution or
is it caused by the debian package? J
Hi,
I have been using the monitor function with positive thresholds
and it works well. When I try to use it with negative thresholds it does not
seem to work at all (doesn't send traps). Here is a copy of the monitor line in
the snmpd.conf file which I am having troubles with:

Hi Andrew.
Can you try the new 5.5.pre2 binaries from the download site and let us
know if it solves the problem?

I found a draft MSTP MIB from 2005 and some discussion on the 802.1WG
mailing list in 2008 but can't find any current, official documents.
Does anyone know if there is such a MIB? How can there not be?!
Doesn't anyone with an MSTP switch monitor it?

Hi,
I have a question about using snmpset. I would like to set the value of
prErrFix (variable in prTable).
Firstly, I used the snmpget command to get the value of prErrFix (snmpget -v 1
-c public localhost prErrFix.1) and the output was "UCD-SNMP-MIB::prErrFix.1 =
INTEGER: noError(0)".
Hi,
I have setup snmpd on one server and everything works fine.
Now I'm trying to implement some custom scripts to report via snmpd and I'm
using
exec .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.53.101.0 mailq /bin/mqueue.sh
but when i call the snmpd server from some other host with
snmpwalk -v2c -c com_name ip_addres

That output shows that the agent is reporting the information for the
'system' group.
What happens if you run the same query, but looking at 'interfaces'
or 'host',
or 'cpu' etc ?

OK - I've fixed this, together with the 'Bug Reports' and 'Patches'
links, which were also broken.
