No - that shouldn't be the case.
Looking at the code in pass.c, it builds the command using:

After fixing all my permissions, the pass works just fine on version 5.4.1
for me. Also on the old version 5.1.2, the passtest script is called and can
echo out to a log file. However, It seems that 5.1.2 just does not pass any
arguments to the passtest script. Has anyone seen this problem before?
