Sorry it's a proprietary MIB and I cannot reveal much more. I'm using mib2c and
mfd to generate the code. I did notice some logical errors in the MIB which I
corrected, still see the weird behaviors as described. Note smilint gives no
errors and niether does the MIB browser. Any other tools to c

Hi Wes,
Thanks for your reply. I can't seem to be able to monitor 5 such servers
as this is an obstacle on all of them.
I also can't find any updated version of SNMP for this platform.
OS: Novell SuSE Enterprise Linux 11
net-snmp version: 5.4.2.1
Thanks again

Hi,
I'm trying to restrict access to MIBs using SNMPv3 and VACM.
First of all I have created an administrator user with snmp daemon
turned off using the command
sudo net-snmp-create-v3-user -A auth_password -X priv_password -a MD5
-x DES administrator
It creates the user successfully and I have a

You can generally ignore those errors; I believe they've been squelched
from future updates as well (but someone else may tell me that my memory
is wrong here)

I would certainly try and get OpenSSL

Hello. First of all, thanks for reading.
I have a problem with net-snmp-5.5 which does not occur in
net-snmp-5.4.2.1. I think the same
problem was reported in bug "Two interfaces with the same address core
dump - ID: 2003383"

Thanks Dave & Mike .. for the suggestion. I kept this option for future use,
for time being implemented a C prog which will add trap2sink line in
snmpd.conf and sets UCD-SNMP::versionUpdateConfig to 1 using net-snmp apps..
This reloads the running agent but it multiples the snmp processes. I have
Thanks Dave.
I wanna know in sun-solaris-10 , if net-snmp is compiled with the option "*
--enable-ipv6*", Will able to get ipv6 information related information from
net-snmp snmpwalk commond or we need to give implementation for IPv6 related
mibs for net-snmp?

In general, I'd suggest walking 1.3.6.1.2.1.6 (i.e. the 'tcp' group)
This would show whether the IPv4-

What are the exact OIDs of the tables, please?
Better, can you post the text of the MIBs that define them.

Hi,
I'm new to Linux and not a member of the forum.
We have an issue with SNMP version net-snmp-5.4.2.1-8.1 on SuSE
Enterprise Linux 11 OS and installed on an ESX Host.
The log contains the below error and this is noticed on 5 such servers
that have the below packages installed:
