Net-SNMP Build Issues under RHEL 5.4, GCC version 4.1.2, and Net-SNMP version 5.3.2.2.

I am testing out a project which builds and executes without any form of error under Fedora 16 using Net-SNMP v5.7.1 (gcc v4.6.2) on a legacy RHEL 5.4 platform, using Net-SNMP v5.3.2.2, gcc v4.1.2. Using the exact same project, with the same IDE for the build (Qt Creator), the project compiles
