I'm using the SMCnsnmp package created by sunfreeware.com on Solaris 9. It's version 5.1.1. I'm only accessing the agent via SNMPv3. My snmpd.conf snippet looks like this:

exec .1.3.6.1.4.1.2021.51 prtconf /usr/sbin/prtconf -pv

When I query this mib on the agent, becomes unresponsive (ie: snmpwalk: Timeout). The subcommand stays running as a sub process of the agent. If I kill the subcommand, the agent spawns a new one and is still unresponsive.

I have this exact same exec mib definition working fine with net-snmp 5.0.4pre1 on Solaris 9 and net-snmp 5.0.7 on Solaris 7.

Any thoughts?

Tony
