I don't see a tcp option for snmptrap.exe so I assume it isn't there.
Does anyone know of a win32 snmptrap sending utility that can send using
TCP ?
Try: snmptrap.exe ... tcp:desthost:162 ...
(with desthost being the trap destination

Yes, the agent dies. Apple says it is a bug and we'll
have to keep our eye on general Apple software updates
to know if it is fixed.
Thanks

When I run the default snmpd that is shipped with

Any thoughts ?

Some Enterprise class Hardware uses snmpdx for

I've seen snmpd die if a process is started on the

I have several OS's I run netsnmp on that return the

able to distinguish them by creating an enterprise OID
of my own making even if it is not under the 2021
branch, so I can distinguish them better. Possible ?

There is some reference to nlist in the README
Fixes:
- AIX fix (use knlist)
Not sure if that is related. I am not sure if nlist
can't find a file or if that error is erroneous.
knlist is 'Translates names to addresses in the
running system.'
Does anyone have a running snmpd on AIX 5.2 ?

Hi,
You have downloaded the binary, there is NO need to
compile. You will have to stop the sun snmpdx first.
Then run /usr/local/sbin/snmpd.
netsnmpd can be run as a child process under snmpdx if
you wish.

Can you not just dump the traps at the receiving
