i was wonderin if we can have the standard oid objects under our enterprise tree. i mean if we query ourenterprise.deivces we get the answer we we query host.devices. i want to do this without adding modules to my mib for this purpose. are there any ways that we can make the agent understood.

how can we uninstall snmp completely? i have downloaded and installed a net-snmp 5.2.3 package but after installation there is no /etc/init.d/snmp so i can start or stop the agent.even there is no /usr/local/share/snmp/snmpd.conf. but the agent works. -

problem with sending traps

hi, i am using net snmp version 5.2.3 and i want to send traps. i have this line trap2sink all, and once i used trap2sink (the manager ip), and i am using send_v2trap. but i see nothing at the manager machine. how can i get sure that my first machine is sending the trap. i have to
