ven a thought on these two (and to ssh tunnel) too but I find
kerberos far more interesting to involve with.
Also, because of the the use of KSM in net-snmp, i feel that using
kerberos to secure previous verisons of snmp with net-snmp as a
toolkit, would be appropriate.

this effort is that infrastructures that use snmp
verions prior to 3, and are not willing to go to v3 because of the
changes needed, will have an intermediate solution applying to the
security risks currently existing.

Hello everyone!
I just wanted to announce that I am going to add security and
authentication support to net snmp for snmp versions 1 and 2, using
kerberos v5 infrastructure.
Is this gonna have any use for any of you?
