Hello,
I have been reading some of the man pages and forums to see if the question I
have had already been answered, but so far no luck. My question is what kind of
encryption , if any, occurs on the user information (createUser) in the
snmpd.conf file. All I have read simply states "it is read from the file and
then the line is removed (eliminating the storage of the master password for
that user) and replaced with the key that is derived from it." Any information
as to what kind of encryption technology is used in generating the key from the
password is greatly appreciated.
