snmpd not responding

Hi, I am using 5.0.9 version, i am able to build snmpd, after loading it to h/w , $/usr/sbin/snmpd -f -L -D It wont print anything (version number), and also no response to any snmp commands, What maybe the problem ?? Thank's -Arif --
