hi again,
now it gives me:
net-snmp VERSION 5.4.1
couldn't open udp:162 --errno2 no such file or directory.
that's mean the problem of configuration is resolved but it still has a
problem in opening the port 162

the mssql.mib and as the first test that we can do snmpwalk -c "community"

using get instead of walk for the oid mib of the sql server I can't get any
answers :there is no such variable name in this MIB
Failed object : SNMPv2-SMI::entreprises.311.1.4.1.

HELLO?
I am being confused , when should i use v1 or v 2c or even v3?
I can't distingue the difference between using those version in my snmp
queries or either in sending traps?
what can be changed if I send a trap with using v1 instead of v 2c ?
thank you for answering me as soon as possible and
thanks a lot Dave , now I get the difference .
