Hello, Under Centos 6.4 I installed snmpd. It runs from /usr/sbin
Then I installed the sources (in my case net-snmp 5.5) and installed them with: ./configure make make install The snmpd binary was installed in /usr/local Running: "service snmpd restart" running the original /usr/snmpd When I tried to: "cp /usr/local/snmpd /usr/sbin" and run the snmpd I got: .... Warning: no access control information configured. It's unlikely this agent can serve any useful purpose in this state. Run "snmpconf -g basic_setup" to help you configure the snmpd.conf file for this agent. NET-SNMP version 5.5 And the agent is not responding to the MIB browser. Can you please help ?
