I'm having a problem compiling and isntalling the perl modules for SNMP under Redhat 4 ES, FC3. I see warnings when running perl Makefile.PL:
Unrecognized argument in LIBS ignored: '-Wl,-E' Unrecognized argument in LIBS ignored: '-Wl,-rpath,/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi/CORE' Unrecognized argument in LIBS ignored: '/usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi/auto/DynaLoader/DynaLoader.a' This leads to an error when running make test: Can't load '../blib/arch/auto/NetSNMP/default_store/default_store.so' for module NetSNMP::default_store: libnetsnmp.so.5: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory at /usr/lib/perl5/5.8.5/i386-linux-thread-multi/DynaLoader.pm line 230. I've looked around the web trying to see if anyone else has had this problem so possibly it's something specific to my machine. Am I going to have to track down the variables in LIBS or is there a simpler way of solving this problem?
