I am trying to cross-compile the net-snmpd agent (or the mini-agent) to
a powerpc system in which I already have openssl, busybox, uclibc,
kernel 2.6.10 and a lot of things...

Sorry Thomas, but I haven't understood completely your answer.
I mean... the use of ranlib with that library is managed by the Makefile
of the net-snmp package (and so by the configure). So... I do not
understand why is this not correct for my toolchain and yes for the
others.
