Greetings. Does anyone know of an open-source alert notification system? We are adopting a new SNMP-based network monitoring system that is designed to send out *one* alert whenever a device has problems; it is made to interface with an alert notification system that can use that alert to initiate an escalation and notification chain of events.
The problem is, commercial alert notification systems (AlarmPoint, Mir3, etc.) are quite expensive -- $20K+ with a disaster recovery component. Does anyone know of an open source solution? Programs like Nagios do good network monitoring, but poor escalation and notification. Thanks a lot. - DP _________________________________________________________________ Check the weather nationwide with MSN Search: Try it now! http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?q=weather&FORM=WLMTAG ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Using Tomcat but need to do more?
