Nagios installation, and the communication between the different
instances had to be done via SNMP notifications. We implemented a
small program, which consisted in a command line utility to insert a
trap in a SQLite database,
Ok. After the responses, I've read about DISMAN notification log MIBs.
There you can log the notifications, which you can query later via
SNMP. What is not clear to me, is the role of the network management
system (is that what you referred to by NMS, ¿no?), I mean, with

be, depends entirely on the definition of reliable.

- Every certain time, the spooler takes unsent traps from the list,
and trys to deliver them via an inform PDU to the destination
- If the trap is acknowledged, the trap is removed from the list
Isn't that functionality already provided
