Hi all My rhetorical question is ... am I doing something stupid here?
I am using the bulkwalk.pl script from the net-snmp/perl/SNMP/examples directory from the CVS source, which is failing on a Summit5iTX Extreme switch but the shell command snmpbulkwalk works ... $./bulkwalk.pl 10.24.0.1 Cannot do bulkwalk: Timeout (-24) $ snmpbulkwalk -v2c -c public 10.24.0.1 ifDescr IF-MIB::ifDescr.1 = STRING: Summit5iTx-Port 1 IF-MIB::ifDescr.2 = STRING: Summit5iTx-Port 2 IF-MIB::ifDescr.3 = STRING: Summit5iTx-Port 3 IF-MIB::ifDescr.4 = STRING: Summit5iTx-Port 4 etc etc >From experience, I have come to accept some vendors poor implementations of SNMP. I just don't see the difference with the two methods above Thanks Andy This e-mail is private and may be confidential and is for the intended recipient only.
