I believe that comment was written w.r.t. release 5.2.
The DisMan handling has been completely re-written for 5.3 and above,
so ought to work properly on Solaris.

The mentioned chapter in README.solaris has not yet been updated for the
disman/event mib mobule rewrite (in net-snmp 5.3.x and later) which is
