Did you use DEBUGMSGTL(("d", ...)) or something else? The above -Dd
option tills it to log anything with a token starting with

Try "-Lf /var/log/snmpd.log". The uppercase logging specifiers don't
seem to work for

Because you haven't set a logging destination..? Check the '
Hi,
Started the daemon with:
snmpd -Dd
I use DEBUGMSGTL to log message and I do not see anything in the log.
Why?
What is the best way to debug the extended agent? We do not have

Hi,
I'm using the following command to start snmpd:
/usr/sbin/snmpd -Dmib_init -LF 4 /var/log/snmp -p /var/run/snmpd.pid
The problem is that nothing is being written to /var/log/snmp and everything
is being sent to STDOUT instead.
What is wrong with my -LF syntax?

It's not documented (I need to fix that), but you can turn off
logging completely using
-Ln
or in part using
-LN pri1-pri2
See 'snmpcmd' for a description of the priority-form.
(It works in the same way as -LE etc)

One time I got to 100% on / on my PC. Once due to SNMP logging and once
due
to e-mail logging. Both times took a couple months to happen, but still I
should eliminate that by the time we ship.
Hello,
is it possible to switch off the logging part? I have an embedded pc, with
limited disk space.
Best regards
