by Marc Garrett, accompanies his forthcoming book, Feral Class, a deeply
personal and political reflection on growing up working-class and creating art

humour, and rebellion.
Across 29 tracks, the mixtape threads together the DIY spirit, sly wit, and
gritty determination of artists who, like Garrett, thrive outside the
mainstream. Post-punk, dub, experimental pop, and outsider folk collide here: a

sardonic absurdity of The B-52’s and Ivor Cutler, to the punk defiance of X-Ray
Spex, Bush Tetras, and Zounds; from the eerie elegance of Nico and Robert
Wyatt, to the industrial and electronic provocations of Cabaret Voltaire, Fad
Gadget, and Kraftwerk — this mixtape embodies the creativity of those who make
their own rules and find beauty in the cracks of capitalism. It’s a soundtrack
to spray-painting a wall, pirating a signal, staging a protest, or dancing in
