Here's news of a range of live coding related events coming up, from the AHRC Live Coding Research Network and friends. Read on for information about upcoming research symposia and related performance events. ++ LCRN Symposium 2: Live Coding and the Body University of Sussex 5-6th July 2014 (preceded by algorave performances on the 4th) http://www.livecodenetwork.org/body/ Registration now open for this symposium exploring the relationship between Live Coding and the Body. This will include multiple perspectives including Live Art, Choreography, New Interfaces for Musical Expression, Critical Code Studies and the Psychology of Programming. ++ LCRN Symposium 3: Live Coding and Collaboration University of Birmingham Doctoral consortium: 25th September 2014 Symposium: 26th September 2014 (followed by the Network Music Festival) http://www.livecodenetwork.org/collaboration/ The call for papers is now out, both for the symposium and the doctoral consortium before it. See the weblink for more details. ++ Algorave and the Sound and Music Composer/Curator programme Sound and Music (the national agency for new music) is sponsoring a number of live coding events, including the network music festival and algorave associated with the above symposia. Other events coming up as part of this series includes Algoraves in Sheffield, Leeds, York and Manchester. There will also be an algorave as part of the New Interfaces for Musical Expression conference in London.
