up *BSD partitioning guide in google or a search engine or something along
those lines. Even the other BSD handbooks have some useful information. It
might help with your understanding of how it works and what for exampl

Most likely the build ran out of memory.
Check 'ulimit' before running the build, and if your system
really doesn't have enough memory, add swapspace (e.g. a
temporary

swap on a memory disk is a bit insane :)
