What about the admin/user who click on arpnip a couple of times. ..or many
times.. or multiple admins clicking on the Web buttons. The backend admin
stuff should get the priority or the system gets starved (a bit like routing
control protocols or QoS priorities. ... The fundamental stuff needs to be
dealt with ;) )

Yeah good point.

I'm still mulling this over, but:

1. job de-duplication is already in there
2. I checked and technically yes, we can detect these jobs and do what's requested
3. perhaps a config option to enable this requested feature?
4. perhaps a config option to dedicate a backend agent to normal (scheduled) or high priority jobs?

regards,
oliver.

I see your point, but in my case my users keep complaining that they want
some device macksucked / arpnipped 'right now'. This is especially the case
when they trigger a command right after the scheduler has filled the job
queue (with 1000+ job items). Maybe you're right an these commands should
not be in the prio queue but in some sort of web-command queue with
dedicated workers ( 1-2 workers would be enough - just to keep the
interface 'responsive' )

Hello,

first of all I'd like to say that I'm very happy with Netdisco 2. I
use it since a couple of month already and don't want to miss it
anymore.
A very useful report for me is the Port Utilisation Report.
Regarding this report I have a question:
When is a port marked as free in this report and am I able to change this value?
As an idea for a future ND2 release it would be great to have also for
the report the option to choose when a port is marked as free, like
you can do in the port overview already currently :)

Thanks and regards
Tobias

Hi there.

Is there a way to export the netmap into High Res picture.
Would be nice for management to be able to grasp the whole network.

And kind of cool to print it out and put it on the wall.

Hi,
we have some Enterasys switches mentioned in the Subject. CDP is active
and each Switch recognizes its neighbors - but in netdisco no neighbors
are found. Any hints?

Hello,

I installed on my machine Netdisco and it can not be added in its database the
Cisco WS-C2960X-48TS-L.
Do you have any idea why ? Thank you !

PS: Sorry for the english, I'm french.
