Dan applied the a patch at HEAD 1.459 has changed the way timestamps are written to gconf. Networks are written to gconf only after a successful connection has been made, and timestamps are only updated if the network is in gconf and the user selects it from the menu. So gconf will not accumulat

After discussions on the list, I had a better feel for the intended usage of the timestamp. I would prefer that you revert the patch mentioned below and instead apply the patches I submitted yesterday (HEAD 1.451 gconf timestamp patch) which I think will return NM to its original design or close t
