I don't know if this is a "feature" or not but NetworkManager never
shows multiple APs of the same name for me. There should be 3 in range
where I am but it only shows one. I often have problems connecting to
this network under linux probably because it is trying to associate to

Joan,
earlier someone advised you to take certain lines out
of /etc/network/interfaces.
As far as I know you have to take all lines pertaining to your wireless
device out (i.e., empty the file leaving only the "lo" device).
If you installed CVS by hand make sure you remove everything (make

Hi there,
I am trying now for several weeks to get networkmanager/knetworkmanager
running.
This day I had sucess, with NetworkManager-0.6.4 and knetworkmanager-0.1. The
Problam I had all the time was that the poore unpatched dhcp-3.0.4 which
comes with my distro (slackware-11.0) does not work w

Hi
I recently installed the latest version of ubuntu but my machine does not
detect the wireless.
I am using IBM thinkpad t60,I did install the 'network manager applet' i.e
network-manager &
network-manager-gnome.
I did check the wireless radio if it was turned on from the BIOS, all is fine.

/etc/resolv.conf when using Networkmanager.
i.e. if a dhcp server does not provide this information how I can
customize so everytime I bring up a device it will be present.
I used to use something like ...
cat /etc/sysconfi
This is my 3rd try in this mailing list.
Can anybody help me ?
The nm does not detect neither connect to any wireless netwr, I always
have to do it manually (iwconfig ...)
I tried the package NM (0.6.3), the stabe one (0.6.4) or the CVS one
(0.7.0), none of them are working.
