I am just trying to create a LEAP connection and I don't know why it doesn't
create neither gives any error. I look for the uuid and get nothing.

this might or might not work. When I close my lid my laptop is
configured to goto sleep. So this event triggers the lid CLOSE event,
but opening the lid requires me to press the power button to bring the

Are you talking about wireless network detection? As far as I know,
only root can initiate a scan, and lower users have to wait for the
system. I know NetworkManager daemon runs as root, so I mentioned this
for another reason. I can't say of a way to configure network manager

Some people have more refined network configurations than just "it works
or not" (especially in the Unix world).

Hello all!
Could you please say if there are any CLI front-ends for network-manager?
It would help a lot when for example you are accessing your machine
from ssh and want to turn on VPN connection that was configured using
network-manager.
