So how do you disable the virtual desktop setting in Sawfish and Gnome?

Being a newbie myself, I can only guess but I believe the command to delete
directory without getting the crap is "rm -Rf .xvpics"

I was having the same problem, so I ran it from a xterm window. Seems, that
since I had no KDE libs installed it would not run. I was strictly sticking to
Gnome and ManDrake perfers KDE. Once I installed the required Libs, it ran
well.

Hello all!
I have a Dell L667r Pentium III with 128mbs of ram and a 10Gb HD. I am running
ManDrake 7.1 I installed GnoRPM (thru X-Wing File manager) and attempted to
run it. What I get is "file /var/lib/rpm/nameindex.rpm: Invalid argument"
Nameindex is in /var/lib/rpm/ and I was logged in as root
