Hey group, Has anyone ever used secure copy? The command for it is scp and I was just wondering if anyone here has had any luck with it or not. I would like to be able to transfer some files from my Linux server to my windows machine and I was wondering if that was really possible at

Can someone tell me how to deny access to my whole entire home directory to everyone else but myself or how to password protect it? Andrew

oopsI changed my home directory so no other user can access it and I used chmod -R 700 but now I need my publi_html directory to be read by all users.. Do I just do a chmod -R 750 ? Andrew
