I tarred my data and did a multi-volume save on a bunch of floppies. The
floppies are raw format. Now I cannot seem to get the data back, which is
stored in block files. Could somebody tell me how to do this?

Sending to trash in not really gone. To permantly delete, use the
Expunge on the Actions menu.

I found that easiest way was to do, as someone suggested, simply run the
installation in upgrade mode. Piece of cake!
I have also made a copy of XF86Config in my /home/me directory.

The SO wizard came up and repaired the installation in a snap!

When I called up StarOffice 5.2 in KDE, it froze in the loading with the
title panel, which I could not get rid of without logging out. I
uninstallted SO5.2 and reinstalled it, but it is doing the same thing.
Anybody know what the deal is? Appreciate any help.

Make sure that you don't have an error message or some other message
behind
the title panel. I went through the same aggravation once and just had a
message that needed clearing.

I have recently installed 8.1 on my Dell Inspiron 2500 laptop. While using
the Staroffice 5.2 word processor or KWord under KDE, the cursor jumps lines
at seeming random while typing - sometimes up, sometimes down. Anybody else
