I am not exactly a novice at Linux, but not an expert =-). in all the other distributions of Linux, including the last version of Mandrake, my 3com/Megahertz 3CCE589ET pcmcia Lan card would be auto detected at installation and would work fine after that. I just recently downloaded Mandrake 7.1 (cause I liked 7.0 so much). But during the install it asked if I wanted to detect the pcmcia cards, but then later when it asked if I wanted to configure a local lan, it asked me for a driver. So I obviously did not detect the card. I tried all the 3com drivers and saw nothing else that would work. Like I said, in Mandrake 7.0 it autodetected the card fine and it was working great, but for some reason this one isn't working and I do not know how to get it working.

Any help would be great =-). Looking forward to doing away with Windows =-).
