[newbie] net config

Hi... I want to configure my mandrake 8... because I want to use them like a proxy server and file share server (samba) I configured my lan card, and when I try it with ping command, work fine... but I can't config ip-masq and samba... can anyone help me...? I want to know how to configure proxy server and samba server with mandrake 8...   Gustavo   PD: sorry... my english it's no so good..
