You can't have the host machine assign an IP address to itself. You have
to set the IP address for that computer

Use partition magic and delete the Linux partition and put it back to a

I have and ESS Soundcard but on boot up if always fails. IRQs, DMA and I/o
is correct. Running sndconf also fails on trying to play a test file.
Sound runs in KDE.
