[newbie] Deskpro + ESS1869

I'm trying to setup Mandrake 6.0 on a Deskpro EN6300. Everything seems to be working okay except the sound. I ran sndconfig but I can't get the ESS1869 to work properly. I'm quite new to Linux and have seen a lot of helpful posts in here. Any suggestions?

Please disregard my previous post- I played some more and found that the ESS1869 is compatible with the Soundblaster Pro. 220-5-1
