Hello everyone.
I am completely new to Linux and was hoping someone could help me. I have
an ADSL connection on a win98 & Amiga box and I would like to set up my
Linux box to access it as well.
I have a 3com ISA NIC 509b and Drakconf is not recognizing it (I think). In
my boot screen it does say the the "eth0: is there and it lists my nic
information, yet my link light on the modem does not light up. I am sure
that I am missing something yet I am not sure what it is. I can't find this
information in the Mandrake manual (maybe I am not looking in the right
place).
How do I activate my Nic card and after that is it just the networking
process in Drake config that I should be following to get it online with the
ADSL modem?
I apologize if this is a basic question. Thank you for any help that you
can offer.
