I am in the process of setting up a ftp server for anonymous users but they
have the ability to delete files and/or directories. You can see how this
would be bad if a malicious user logged on to it. I looked around in the
User Manager, Userconf, and Userdrake and didn't see anything pertaining
I'm not sure if anyone is familiar with the program hotline. I was wondering
if there was a Linux version of this available for download? I did a search
online and didn't find anything.

Everytime I try to mount the floppy drive by
clicking on the drive icon onthe desktop it goes toopen the drive
andthen displays and error. The error isas
follows:"Couldnot read /"
I have no clue whatthe problemis. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.

I did a fix to get myfloppy
driveworking. NowI havejust one more questionabout it.
When I click the floppy desktop icon I see the activitey light go on but only
the first time I click it. If I click it agian with a different disk in there it
just brings up the same files that were on the

I downloaded a file "php-4.0.6.tar.gz" and I opened
it with Archiver and extracted it to a directory "PHP". I tried doing the
./configure and I got errors. Here is what happened:
[root@192 PHP]# ./configureloading cache
./configure.cachechecking for a BSD compatible
I'm really new to linux and Ihave no
clue what todo with these types offiles.

Could anyone tell me where I can find the
information on setting up and configuring an ftp server. I thought one was
installed by default in Mandrake but I could be wrong. If there is one
installed by defaultcould someone point me to where I can find
it.
