[newbie] Boot problem

I'm new here, so sorry if this repeats any threads. Ok, I have a dual boot W98/Mandrake 7. Lilo defaults to Mandrake, and both exist on the same HD. Everything was fine, but now Mandrake fails to boot, and the following is what seems to be relevant from the boot sequence - after this it just waits for ctrl-alt-del. attempt to access beyond end of device 03:07: rw=0, want=2, limit=0 dev 03:07 blksize=1024 blocknr=1 sector=2 size=1024 count=1 EXT2-fs: unable to read superblock attempt to access beyond end of device 03:07: rw=0, want=33, limit=0 dev 03:07 blksize=1024 blocknr=32 sector=64 size=1024 count=1 isofs_read_super: bread_failed, dev=03:07, iso_blknum=16, block=32 Kernel panic: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on 03:07 W98 still works fine, though I suspect that Norton Systemworks may be partly to blame. Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks anyway Ian
