I'm new to Linux, so I'm trying out Mandrake, supposively the easiest to learn on. When I try to save any document in StarOffice (the wordprocessor ) in Word 97/2000 format, the entire program freezes. Linux runs, but the program simply stops (screen still there, but nothing happening. Sun corporation hasn't heard of this problem, and I can't find any reference to it anywhere else. Any thoughts?
