[newbie] Displaying KDE on WinNT using Exceed 6.1

I am setting up a Mandrake 7.2 PC as a remote fileserver with no monitor. When I try to display KDE on a WinNT station using Exceed 6.1, everything initially looks OK but then the icons on the Panel menu disappear and the Panel becomes unusable. The Desktop icons and the Desktop menu work fine.
