Been a while since I've used linux, just to find out that init.d was replaced with xinit.d
I need to remotely access the desktop on my MDK10 server. I've installed the tightvnc package, and it shows up in the rc.d directories, but until I run the command line vncserver command, I cannot connect to the service remotely. Also, is there a guide that shows how to use the package manager? I keep getting all sort of errors when I try to update.
