[newbie] Need help getting my printer to work in Mandrake 9.2

Can anyone assist me in getting my printer (HP OfficeJet 4100) working? Mandrake Control Center sees the printer and autoconfigures, and even does a test print, but I can't print from any applications. Any ideas what I can check or tweak to get this working. PLEASE HELP, not being able to
