I am using Mandrake Linux 8.1 Standard edition on my PC. I have only been using Linux for about two weeks. I want to modify my kernal. According to my "Linux for Dummies" book, there is supposed to be a /usr/src/linux directory, but I don't see it. I appreciate help on this subject because I want to tweak the kernel for my system. What are the steps to modifying the kernel in Mandrake 8.1?
