I agree the best are your own. I have customized extensively in the past. I could swear I remember having a default .emacs upon install of Mandrake 7.0 and I have one in Suse 7.0. It's really no big deal, I can copy my SuSE .emacs over or use the sample.emacs file. I was just curious.
